Equiv. CO₂ Concentration ppm Calculated from the VOC. Only on version e43.
Air Quality Index Only on version e43.
PM1.0, PM2.5, PM4.0, PM10.0 μg/m³ Particles in the air, by size.
PM0.5 count to PM10.0 count /cm³ Number of particles, by size.
Typ. particle size μm The typical size of the particles.

The app hides a reading that has no data.

  • Meeting rooms and offices, to know when the room needs fresh air.
  • Classrooms.
  • Shops, restaurants and gyms.
  • Homes, for dust and particles from smoke or cooking.
  1. Put the device at the height where people breathe, away from windows, doors and air conditioners.
  2. Do not put the device in the sun or near a heat source.
  3. Connect the device to WiFi from the mobile app. See WiFi setup.

In the add-device wizard, select the model of your device. Press and hold the middle button for a few seconds, until the WiFi icon blinks. When the connection icon stays on, the device is connected to the Internet.

In Settings > Advanced:

  • Local temperature offset: a correction of the temperature in °C. The default is 0.5 °C.
  • Altitude: the altitude of the site in metres.
  • Allow LAN commands: other devices on your local network can control this device. Keep the setting off if you do not need it.
  • Force IPv4 (only e43): the device connects with IPv4 only.
  • Calibration table: a field correction for temperature, humidity and CO₂. Version e43 also has VOC, Equiv. CO₂ and luminosity. Press Calibrate to fill it in.

On version e43 you can use the button Long Press in a rule.

The general settings of all devices are in device settings.

The Recommended setups button on the device page suggests:

  • An alert when the temperature goes out of range.
  • An alert when the humidity goes out of range.
  • An alert when the device stops sending data.

You can also make your own rule, for example an alert when the CO₂ stays high. See create a rule and rule examples.

  • CO₂ or VOC values look strange in the first days: the sensors adjust themselves over a few days. Make sure that the room gets fresh air at some time, so that the device sees clean air.
  • The temperature is a little higher than a thermometer: check the position of the device. See wrong values.
  • The device is offline: see device offline.
