HAM FilterSense

The HAM FilterSense monitors the condition of a water filter. It measures the conductivity, temperature and flow of the water, and calculates total dissolved solids (TDS).

The serial number starts with e52:.

Reading Unit Note
Electrical Conductivity μS Electrical conductivity of the water
Total Dissolved Solids ppm TDS. Calculated from the conductivity (TDS Factor setting)
Temperature °C Water temperature
Liquid L Total quantity that went through
Liquid flow rate L/min Current flow

The settings are on the device page, in the Settings section. For the general procedure see Device settings.

  • TDS Factor: the conversion factor from conductivity to TDS, from 100 to 2000. The default is 500. Usual values: 500 for sodium chloride water, 640 for mixed water, 700 for water with much carbonate.
  • Pulses per Litre (in Advanced): how many pulses the flow meter sends for each litre. Set the value of your meter.
  • NTC Type (in Advanced): the type of the temperature sensor, 10kΩ (B3950) or 50kΩ (B3950). Keep the value that HAM set.
  • Calibration table (in Advanced): field correction for temperature and conductivity. Tap Calibrate to fill it in.
  • Device Description: text that shows as a subheading in reports.
  • Include in summary views: the device shows in the summary views on the home page.
  • Allow LAN commands (in Advanced): other devices on your local network can control this device. Keep the setting off if you do not need it.
  • Force IPv4 (in Advanced): the device uses only IPv4 connections.
  • Do not keep track of data (in Advanced): the app keeps no reading history.

The app has no ready-made rules for this device. Create an alert when Electrical Conductivity goes above a limit and an alert when the device goes offline. See Create a rule and Offline alerts.
