HAM Thermostat

The HAM Thermostat controls the heating and cooling of your room. You set the target temperature on the device or in the app, with schedules and rules.

The serial number starts with e8:. The older version has a serial number that starts with 10:.

What it measures

Installation

Danger

A technician must connect the thermostat to the heating or cooling system.

Connect the device to WiFi from the mobile app. Press and hold the middle button until the WiFi icon blinks. See Connect to WiFi. When the device is connected, the connection icon stays on.

Settings

• W1 Configuration and W2 Configuration: you set what each output does. Options:

  • heating at stage 1, 2 or 3 (HEAT L1, L2, L3),
  • cooling at stage 1, 2 or 3 (COOL L1, L2, L3),
  • Disabled,
  • Manual (e8 only): you turn the output on and off with a switch in the app.

  You also set where the temperature comes from: Local or another HAM device with a temperature reading.

• Disable manual control: the buttons on the device do not change the settings. You control it only from the app.

• BLE magnetic contact monitor (e8 only): the device monitors BLE magnetic contacts, for example on a window. See BLE devices.

Tip

A temperature from another device helps when the thermostat is at a point that does not represent the room.

Recommended rules

The Recommended setups button on the device page suggests:

• An alert when the temperature goes out of range.
• An alert when the humidity goes out of range.
• An alert when the device stops sending data.

Troubleshooting

• Changes from the buttons do not apply: check the Disable manual control setting.
• The Manual 1 or Manual 2 switches do not show: set output W1 or W2 to Manual.
• The device is offline: see device offline.
